History

On Thursday 30th October 2008 St Martins was relocated to Macarthur Park Wedding Gardens, Alexandra Hills.

‘Macarthur Park Chapel’ has been lovingly restored and is set amongst beautiful gardens and natural Australian bushland. This non-denominational Chapel will provide a beautiful setting for Weddings, Renewal of Vows, Naming and Christening Ceremonies and Celebration of Life services with the ambience of an authentic country chapel from yesteryear.

Chapel History

Originally the architecturally graceful and dignified St Martins was built in the early 1920’s in the small western township of Coominya (near Esk) by the Anglican Parish. St Martins is built of local hardwood, faced and linedand ceiled with pine. The building at the time of its dedication on Saturday June 1922 cost over 600 pounds.

It was on Sunday the 27th November 2005 that the closing service to mark the sad end of this little church was held. Fortunately for us we had been looking to purchase a little old church for some time and immediately fell in love with St Martins.

We were successful tenders for the church and our dream of owning a wedding chapel came to fruition.
